2023 Legislative Session Begins

The 2023 session of the Iowa Legislature opened Monday, January 9.  Grow Cedar Valley will be closely following the activity in Des Moines on behalf of our investors.  In concert with our partners, primarily the Iowa Chamber Alliance, but also the Iowa Business Council, the Iowa Association of Business and Industry and the Professional Developers of Iowa, Grow Cedar Valley will advocate for pro-business policies that prioritize economic growth for the Cedar Valley and for Iowa.  In 2023, our primary focus will be talent attraction, recruitment, and retention.  Our investors uniformly tell us this is the biggest challenge they face and our goal will be to work with the Legislature to find positive solutions to this problem.  Please review our Cedar Valley 2023 Legislative Policy Agenda for more insight into our plans for this year’s session.
