UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital® has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry Silver Performance Achievement Award for 2019. Allen Hospital is one of only 86 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.

To receive the Chest Pain – MI Registry Silver Performance Achievement Award, Allen Hospital has demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain ~ MI Registry for four consecutive quarters and has performed at the top level of standards for specific performance measures. Full participation in the registry engages hospitals in a robust quality improvement process using data to drive improvements in adherence to guideline recommendations and overall quality of care provided to heart attack patients.

“This award recognizes a great amount of teamwork and amazing skill level by our frontline team members, practitioners, and clinical outcome coordinators. Without everyone’s continued commitment to improving patient outcomes and care, performance achievement awards would not be possible,” said Andrea Moulds, executive director of cardiovascular services at Allen Hospital. “This award showcases the excellent care and dedication we provide to our patients every day, and we are proud to have this opportunity to celebrate Cardiovascular Services’ continued excellence.”
