Grow Cedar Valley Elects New Leadership

WATERLOO,IA – Mike Mallaro, CEO VGM Group, Inc., was elected as Chair of the Grow Cedar Valley Board of Directors and began his term at the annual meeting held July 19 at Grout Museum of History and Science in Waterloo.  Mallaro will chair the regional economic and community development organization through the 2023 fiscal year.

Other officers elected to lead the organization with Mallaro are: Vice-chair, Pam Delagardelle, CEO Unity Point Health-Allen Hospital; Treasurer, Dave Wilson, Ryan Companies US, Inc. and Past Chair Becky Guinn, John Deere Waterloo Factory Manager. The officers are joined by Mayor Rob Green, City of Cedar Falls; Mayor Quentin Hart, City of Waterloo; the newly renamed Community Development Council Chair Tim Verheyan, ISG, and TechWorks Campus Chair Dave Deaver, DWDeaver LLC to form Grow Cedar Valley’s Executive Committee.

The newly elected members of the Board include: Janet Johnson, Courier Communications; Dr. Rebecca Neiduski, Wartburg College; Dr. Jared Smith, Waterloo Community Schools; Brooke Croshier-Sidebotham University of Northern Iowa/Cedar Falls Tourism and Visitors Bureau; and Zach Hansen, InVision Architecture/Main Street Waterloo.

Retiring from the board is Darrel Colson, Wartburg College; Jane Lindaman, Waterloo Schools; Leslie Prideaux, University of Northern Iowa, Tim Hurley; Lexie Heath, Farmers State Bank; Ana Hanisch, Singlespeed; and Matt Meyers, John Deere.
