Annual Celebration
The Annual Celebration has one major theme - recognition. Grow Cedar Valley offers the yearly celebration to recognize businesses, individuals and organizations. The event is attended by approximately 500 Cedar Valley business and community leaders. The evening event includes a social networking hour followed by dinner and awards ceremony.
Business After Hours
The event is a unique opportunity for investors to mingle and experience different locations in the Cedar Valley. Each event attracts more than 100 Grow Cedar Valley representatives.
Business Education Series
The education series are held on timely topics that are of interest to the business community in assisting to enhance the quality of life for their businesses along with their employees.
Cedar Valley Leadership Institute
The eight-month program is designed to foster community awareness while developing individual leadership skills, giving leaders a broader view of civic leadership responsibilities and opportunities here in the Cedar Valley.
Cedar Valley Welcome Reception
Grow Cedar Valley is delighted individuals have chosen to build their career, future and life in the Cedar Valley. To celebrate their move here, we host a reception so they can meet other new residents and enjoy food, beverages and door prizes. Plus, learn about community resources and familiarize themselves with all the region has to offer so they truly will begin to feel at home.
Economic Diversity & Inclusion Summit
The Economic Diversity & Inclusion Summit is an annual discussion around the need to tap into the consumer and workforce potential of the Cedar Valley’s diverse and inclusive population. Grow Cedar Valley partners with the University of Northern Iowa to plan the event which features keynote presentations from national and regional experts.
Friday Forums
These informational discussion sessions are held on the second Friday of each month from September through May, highlighting legislative, regulatory, or local issues of interest to our investors.
Golf Classic
The Annual Fall Golf Classic is an opportunity for businesses and organizations to participate in one of the Cedar Valley’s premier golf tournaments. The event begins with a networking luncheon followed by an afternoon shotgun start. The day ends with a networking social hour.
Good Morning Cedar Valley
The event is a networking breakfast, informing Grow Cedar Valley investors on economic development and community events. The program includes updates from the Grow Cedar Valley CEO along with mayors of Cedar Falls, Waterloo and Waverly and other regional representatives. The breakfast attracts more than 150 Grow Cedar Valley representatives.
Leadercast
Leadercast Cedar Valley is an all-day, live rebroadcast, educational experience that brings the insight and expertise of world-renowned leaders right here to the Cedar Valley. Leadercast is dedicated to building leaders by providing solutions, events and resources for individuals, teams, organizations and corporations across all industries.
New Investor Briefing
The New Investor Briefing is an opportunity for new investors to learn about the value of their Grow Cedar Valley investment and to network with other new investors. These semi-annual briefings allow new investors to give a brief description of their business/organization to the attendees.
Post Session Legislative Breakfast
The June breakfast includes a review of the previous legislative session by a panel of Cedar Valley state legislators. Attendees learn directly from the legislators about topics of interest to business leaders and have an opportunity to share their opinions and concerns with lawmakers.
Power Networking
Power Networking is a structured, quarterly social event. It is limited to 50 representatives of Grow Cedar Valley investors (Limit 2 per business). Attendees have the opportunity to build their prospect list with 25 new business contacts in just 90 minutes by using a one on one networking.
Strictly Business
Strictly Business is the annual Cedar Valley business expo. This event is an opportunity for Grow Cedar Valley business owners, organizations and professionals to showcase their products and/or services in a trade show format. The event attracts 500 business representatives. Attendees gain a wealth of knowledge while learning and viewing the newest products and services offered by the 60 exhibitors. A business seminar is offered prior to the expo.
