Creating Brave Spaces in the Cedar Valley - 2019 Economic Inclusion Conference

The 2019 Economic Inclusion Conference: Creating Brave Spaces was a large success. Thank you to the University of Northern Iowa for partnering with us on this event!

This year's conference is the next step in our community's journey of inclusion; by building value and appreciation from varying perspectives, experiences, and cultures. While we have been very intentional to have honest conversations and disrupt bias, we know that there is much more work for us to do. Everyone in our community has an equally important role to create a culture of inclusive excellence. The event was held on October 11, 2019, which was also National Coming Out Day.

The event brought over 300 business and community members together into a brave space and to engage in conversations about how to achieve the mission of economic inclusion in the Cedar Valley, which is to "Create economic access for everyone and ensure everyone has a seat at the table."

The following video outlines Economic Inclusion in the Cedar Valley and the value it can bring. Thank you to AMPERAGE Marketing and Fundraising for putting this video together for the conference.

We want to extend a huge thank you to the University of Northern Iowa for their partnership and the work they did to ensure this event was a success.

We also want to thank the event sponsors. Without their contribution, the event could not be held at the scale that it was held.
